This is the first note of the famous Educational Series, considered the most artistically designed of all U.S. currency issues. On the face of this large-size note is an engraving titled History Instructing Youth, with a view of the Capitol. Along the border, within wreath, are the names of great Americans. The back has portraits of both George and Martha Washington. With red seal and blue serial numbers. Bruce-Roberts signatures.
