BIGSTONE, which evolved from "CANTON," played a significant role in the early days of Japanese jeans. Oishi Boeki (CANTON), considered the founder of Japanese jeans manufacturing, later changed its trademark to "BIGSTONE" and enjoyed explosive popularity during its peak. However, it went bankrupt in the late 70s due to the oil shock and other factors. Vintage flared denim from Japan, dating back 50-60 years, might be quite valuable.
