Magnetic Ghost is an American breakbeat duo consisting of Mariion Christiian and Rick Tedesco. For all their combined history in the US breaks scene, we could almost call the pairing a supergroup! We're excited to welcome them both to Dissident Music. "Meraki" appeared in it's original form on Dissident Miami 2021 and returns here as a full release with remixes from Russian breaks master Abdomen Burst, and Dissident label founder Noel Sanger. The original mix is included here as well, with a fresh new mix and master treatment (mastering by the incomparable Matt Davis at Hacienda Audio). All three mixes will find enthusiastic, diverse audiences. Sanger's treatment delves into a darker realm of progressive melodic tech, adding in the artist's vocals that didn't make their way into the original mix. Abdomen Burst gives us exactly what we love him for: emotive, beautiful melodies and textures mixed up with tasty breakbeats for a stunning result. The Original version is an inventive, tech-infused deep and dark proggy breaks affair, and you simply must hear it. We hope you enjoy "Meraki" as much as we do!
