We have spent many hours perfecting the design of the Stealth Pop Up Gas Cap with the user in mind. The Stealth Pop Up Gas Cap is a perfect solution for anyone looking to make your gas cap "disappear" on your chopper, bobber, hot rod, or any other application. The machine-finished aluminum is an excellent paintable surface for you to match paint for an even more stealth appearance. A slight push down and a quarter turn allows the Stealth Gas Cap to pop up under light spring pressure from its base giving you a knurled surface to remove the cap as you would any other threaded cap. Reinstall the cap, then push down and give it a quarter turn and it remains flush with the top of the threaded bung insert. The Stealth Gas Cap and its base are CNC machined from aircraft quality 6061-T6 billet aluminum. We have used only the best components including anti-corrosive stainless steel cap screws, spring, and roll pin to connect the cap to its base assembly. We have seen other caps on the market with inferior hardware and plastic cap bases, but you will not find that with our design. The threaded bung that you will weld into your gas tank, hot rod body, or other location is CNC machined from solid 1018 cold rolled steel for easy welding. The shape is designed with welders/installers in mind. The top of the bung is a larger diameter than the rest of the base to allow for easy installation into a drilled hole, along with a chamfer for excellent weld penetration. The welding surface is relatively far from the threaded area of the bung to counteract any heat distortion when installing. The threads are standard 1 1/4"-12 which can easily be chased with a tap if ever necessary. We machine the Stealth Pop Up Gas Cap at Rullo Custom Cycles in Exton, PA.
