Tower's large aperture Zero order waveplates enable users to tackle new applications involving larger beam size and position movements. These waveplates feature an air-spaced design with a stainless steel spacer between two crystal quartz plates, offering zero order capability. They are less temperature-sensitive than multi-order waveplates and exhibit higher thermal stability and power handling capability compared to contacted or cemented waveplates. Crafted from laser-quality Crystal Quartz, each plate is AR coated on both sides, with retardations of 1/2 or 1/4 wave. Available unmounted or mounted with anodized Aluminum rings, these waveplates boast high-performance specifications, including a wavelength range per table, retardation tolerance of 0.005 waves at 632.8nm, and damage threshold of 1 kW/cm2-CW, 3.5 J/cm2 @10 ns. Standard wavelengths for 38.1mm waveplates include 355, 532, 633, 800, and 1064. Custom versions are available upon request.
