Hormone replacement therapy helps to improve energy and stamina levels; body composition and weight loss; lean muscle growth and bone density; mental clarity and focus; intimacy and performance; sleep quality; mood; anxiety and depression; immune response and defense; and cardiovascular health. HRT pellet consultation consists of a phone interview to discuss required paperwork, which will determine whether you are an appropriate candidate. Once it is determined that you are a candidate, a second phone consultation will instruct you on required labwork, and an appointment will be booked with Dr. Gray.
better weighs is a Biote Certified Provider that helps guide patients through the entire bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) process. We understand that seeking medical care can be intimidating or overwhelming, but Biote’s Method is simple and easy.
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) First Steps
The first step to BHRT is scheduling a consultation to determine if you are eligible for BHRT. After that, we will schedule an in-office appointment and do extensive lab work. If we determine that you are a candidate for BHRT using pellets, you are ready for a pellet insertion.
The Pellet Insertion Method
During an in-office visit, you will be brought into the exam room, and the insertion site, usually somewhere around the upper buttocks, is numbed. A small incision is made, and the hormone pellet is inserted. Afterward, the insertion site is covered with a small bandage. The pellet dissolves, and the body absorbs the contents, leaving nothing behind. Every patient’s symptoms are unique, so each journey is customized to fit their needs. Some patients report seeing improvement in as little as four weeks, but full optimization can take up to six months. Many patients report feeling the benefits after the second insertion.
Post-Insertion Care
After the pellet-insertion process is complete, it’s best to abstain from lower body exercise for a short period of time. Walking is fine, but more strenuous exercise is not recommended. Showers are permitted, but bathtubs, hot tubs, and swimming should be avoided. After the bandage is removed, you can resume normal exercise and swimming routines. You deserve to feel better no matter your age. If you are tired of dealing with the symptoms of hormone imbalance and want to take action, please give us a call to schedule.
