About beautymarx

Dr. Melissa Gray first opened beautymarx in December 2018, primarily offering injectables, facials, and weight loss services. Since then, it has grown dramatically to include so much more, including microblading and lash services, the latest laser treatments, massage services, hormone replacement therapy, and IV therapy.

Throughout the spa are beautiful pieces of artwork that showcase iconic artists well known for their beauty marks. Using these artists as a source of inspiration, we’ve updated the names of our treatment services to reflect quotes and songs by these artists. Our hope is that these names will be fun and memorable. Beginning with our facial services, we’ve chosen hit songs by Madonna. Your initial consultation is aptly titled “Strike a Pose.” We looked to hit songs by Prince for our lash and brow services from “U Got the Look” to “Let’s Go Crazy.”

Lastly, we hope that Dolly Parton’s positive vibes will add some fun to your weight loss journey where we will help you transform “Like a Butterfly.”

To round out our spa decor—and our theme of beauty marks—you will find fun, colorful artwork of Cindy Crawford, Blake Lively, Jake Gyllenhal, Khloe Kardashian, Angelina Jolie, Rachel McAdams, Natalie Portman, Eva Mendes, Janet Jackson, Liz Taylor and Marilyn Monroe.

About Dr. Melissa Gray

Dr. Melissa Gray is originally from a small town in Tuscaloosa County. She graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School and received her first bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Alabama. She majored in Journalism and spent the bulk of her career at The Tuscaloosa News, where she held multiple positions, from health reporter to business editor. In her 30s, she realized she was not fulfilled in her career and returned to her initial passion of medicine. With two young girls at the time—and with the tremendous help of her parents—she was able to return to the University of Alabama, ultimately obtaining her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her children now have children of their own. She has five grandchildren and when she isn’t able to love on them, she has Mischa and Benji at home, her Russian Blue cat and Morkie. She is a family physician who loves taking care of her patients at the Waddell Center, but she makes time to care for her hospice patients as well. Her New Year’s resolution? To somehow make time for herself … We’ll update that one later 😉

our goal is to have you at hello!!!
